LAS VEGAS - UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook will send seven singles players and three doubles teams to the ITA Mountain Region Men's Tennis Championships, which run Wednesday through Sunday across town at the Darling Memorial Tennis Center.
Senior standout Elliot Wronski, ranked 49th nationally in the preseason, is seeded second overall in singles while teammate Luca Barlocchi is eighth and Wesley Burrows is 13th in the 128-man field. In doubles, Wronski and Barlocchi are seeded third in the 64-team draw.
No less than 17 Wilson/ITA Regional Championships for NCAA Division I men and women are taking place over the last two weekends of October at campuses throughout the country. The singles finalists and doubles champion from this event will earn spots in the November 6-9 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Virginia.
