First Day Of Rebel Invite In The Books

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team turned in its first individual action of the fall on Thursday, playing four doubles matches at the Rebel Fall Invitational on a windy day at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The event is made up of individual singles and doubles matches between players from UNLV and the University of South Carolina.

The hosts, who are playing without their top player, Elliot Wronski, who is at a national tournament, got their lone win from Wesley Burrows and Attila Toth, who downed the Gamecock duo of Pedro Campos and Diego Cubas 8-6.

Action on Friday and Saturday will begin at 10 a.m. and include a round of both singles and doubles. Admission to all matches is free of charge.
