LAS VEGAS - Senior standout Elliot Wronski closed out his final fall tournament season in style on Sunday by winning both the singles and doubles titles at the Rebel Classic held at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
Wronski, ranked 49th in singles in the preseason, breezed past Remi Boutillier of Fresno State 6-2, 6-2 a day after dispatching 64th ranked Kallim Stewart of Cal in the semifinals.
Earlier in the day, Wronski had teamed with Luca Barlocchi for an 8-4 doubles victory over Boutillier and Rikus de Villiers of the Bulldogs.
UNLV was perfect on the final day of action as Bryan Miller won the flight two consolation bracket with a 7-6, 6-1 win over Fresno State's Taylor Leiby.
"Considering the high level of the field here, today was a great way to end the final event of the fall," said UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook. "Everyone had a good tournament and I am especially pleased with our doubles and the improvements we've made. We are looking forward to the spring."
UNLV opens it dual-match season on January 24 when it hosts Weber State.
