Fullerton, Calif. - The UNLV Rebels (19-16-1) dropped a 7-0 contest to the #6 Michigan Wolverines at Cal State Fullerton's Judi Garman Classic Thursday morning. The Wolverines took control of the game with four runs spread across the first two innings to win their 15th straight contest.

The Wolverines extended their lead to 4-0 with two more tallies in the second. Dorian Shaw began the inning with a walk and then was pinch run for by Megan Gregory, who stole second and took third on a sacrifice bunt. Teddi Ewing brought Gregory home with a sacrifice fly to left.
Michigan tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the sixth with help from six consecutive singles.
Nikki Nemitz improved to 10-1 with the complete-game victory. Nemitz surrendered only three hits in the game, while striking out 13. All three hits she gave up were doubles, as Jaci Hull had two and Brittany Bolinger had one.
Stephanie Bregante (10-9) suffered the loss in 3.0 innings of work. Bregante allowed four runs on six hits.
Traci Odegard tossed the final 3.0 innings of relief for UNLV and allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits.
The Rebels return to action on Friday, March 21 with contests against Louisiana-Lafayette (1:30 pm) and DePaul (8:00 pm).
