Week Five Release in PDF Format 
Leading Off: The UNLV Rebels went 3-2 last weekend in their own Eller Media Stadium Classic. UNLV will hit the road for its second visit to the "Golden State', as they will play a 1:00 pm contest at UCLA on Wednesday, March 5. Following the westward swing, the Rebels return home to host the UNLV Invitational. The Rebels will welcome Portland State, Ohio State, New Mexico State, Oregon and Southern Utah to "Sin City". UNLV will not play Southern Utah, but will play a pair vs. Ohio State.
On Deck: Following the conclusion of the UNLV Invitational (March 14-16), the Rebels will host the UNLV Round Robin. The Rebels will play a three-game set vs. Utah Valley before playing a doubleheader against Nebraska.
Rebels In The Polls: The UNLV Rebels began the 2008 season receiving votes in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll. The Rebels worked their way into both top-25 polls on Feb. 19, after owning a 9-1-1 record through the first two weekends of play. UNLV was 18th in that ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll and 21st in the USA Today/NFCA Poll.
After going 4-7 over the past two weekends the Rebels have dropped into the "receiving votes" category. Currently, UNLV sits
Rebels To Play On The Small Screen: The Rebels will be making four appearances on television in 2008. The Mountain West Conference announced this year's schedule and the Rebels will have their road games at Colorado State and BYU aired live and tape-delayed.
UNLV will play a doubleheader on Friday, April 18, in Fort Collins, Colo., vs. CSU. Game one is scheduled for 12:30 pm PT on The Mtn.
The Rebels' two-game set in Provo, Utah, vs. BYU will be shown on multiple occasions. The first game of the series on Friday, April 25, is set for 6:00 pm PT on BYU-TV. The game on Saturday, April 26, will be shown at 1:00 pm PT on BYU-TV. Both games will be re-aired on The Mtn. on Saturday , April 26 (game one) at 11:00 am PT and Sunday, April 27 (game two) at noon PT.
