LAS VEGAS - UNLV senior defender Brie Kuhne was named to the Soccer America Team of the Week it was announced on Tuesday. It is the first national weekly honor in Kuhne's career, and she is the eighth Rebel all-time to earn Soccer America honors.

Kuhne lead the Rebels to their first win this season over a ranked opponent, as she headed in a corner kick in the fifth minute of overtime to give UNLV a 2-1 win over then No. 24 Wisconsin-Milwaukee. That performance also led to UNLV's first-ever national ranking, as the team is 25th in this week's Soccer America poll, thanks to its 6-1-1 start to the season.

UNLV returns to action on Friday, when it faces Robert Morris at 7 pm in the first game of the UNLV Rebel Classic from Peter Johann Memorial Field.
