LAS VEGAS - Erin Dalley scored the lone goal of the game in the 74th minute to give Utah a 1-0 victory over UNLV in Mountain West Conference women's soccer action on Thursday night from Peter Johann Memorial Field. The loss for the Rebels in their league opener moved their record to 4-5-4, while Utah improved to 6-7-1, 1-1 in the MWC.

After a scoreless first half, both teams had several scoring chances in the second 45 minutes. The winning score came after the Utes stole the ball at midfield, and Lauren Hair fed a long through ball to Dalley. The Utah forward outraced the Rebel backline and had a one-on-one with goalkeeper Alicia Lugo before slipping a shot to the far right post for the score.

Lugo would finish the game with 10 saves in the net, while Hanna Turpen collected two saves to earn the shutout.

UNLV will next play on Saturday when it hosts BYU in a 1 pm matchup at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
