LAS VEGAS - UNLV junior defender Jamie Calvo was named to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Men's Soccer Second Team while sophomore midfielder Nicholas DeLeon was an All-MPSF Honorable Mention selection, the league announced on Thursday.
Calvo, a native of Visalia, Calif., keyed the Rebels' defense this year as he started every game on the back line. He was tabbed to the All-MPSF Second Team for the first time in his career. Calvo was also named the MPSF Co-Player of the Week for the first time in his career on Nov. 2nd after anchoring a defense that allowed only one goal against Sacramento State and San Jose State.
DeLeon, a native of Phoenix, Ariz., was an All-MPSF Honorable mention selection after collecting three points in conference play off of one goal and one assist. This was the second All-MPSF honor for DeLeon as he was named to the All-MPSF Second Team for his play last season as a freshman.
