LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's soccer team begins it's 2009 spring schedule on Thursday night (Feb. 12), as it hosts Prince George Kodiaks from Canada at 7 pm at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
That will be the first of nine games the Rebels will play this spring, as the schedule includes several teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last year (Long Beach State, BYU, UCLA), as well as a pair of Pac-10 schools in Arizona State and UCLA.
UNLV's next game will be on March 7th, a double-header in Santa Barbara, Calif., against UC Santa Barbara and Cal STate San Bernardino. The Rebels will then play on its home field for the final four days, with two more dates in March, a game against Long Beach State on March 12, and then a double-header against BYU and Utah on March 28.
April will see UNLV and Southern Utah play a contest on April 14, and then three teams come into Las Vegas for a four-game day on April 19, with the games being played at Betty Wilson. UNLV will take on Arizona State and UCLA, while Utah State will also play the two Pac-10 schools.
UNLV finished the 2008 season with an 11-7-1 mark, and was 3-3-1 in the MWC.
