LAS VEGAS - The 75th-ranked UNLV men's tennis team saw its four-match winning streak snapped in a 6-1 loss to No. 56 Oklahoma at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on Saturday.
The defeat dropped the Rebels to 9-3 on the season while the Sooners improved to 6-3.
UNLV began with a competitive doubles effort. Top duo Elliot Wronski and Luca Barlocchi, ranked 46th, won at the top of the lineup 9-7. However, OU won 9-7 on No. 2 and 8-5 on court three to earn the early 1-0 lead.

In a matchup of ranked players on court one, No. 59 Andrei Daescu swept No. 98 Wronski 6-2, 6-4.
"We had a couple of guys battling the flu this week and it showed out there, but Oklahoma is a very good team," said UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook. "They were just too good for us today. Now we need to regroup and prepare for another big test this week."
