SAN DIEGO - The 59th-ranked UNLV men's tennis team got points from the middle of its singles lineup but it was not enough as No. 27 Minnesota won 5-2 in a neutral-site match played Monday on the campus of San Diego State.
With the loss, the Rebels dropped to 10-7 overall.
A close doubles contest started things but UNLV could only come away with one of three matches as Elliot Wronski and Wesley Burrows downed 80th-ranked Ishay Hadash and Phillip Arndt 8-6.
In singles play, Burrows outlasted Sebastian Gallego at the No. 3 spot, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5, and Luca Barlocchi won 6-4, 6-1 over Julian Dehn on court four.
UNLV is off until closing its non-conference and home schedules by hosting Idaho State on March 24 for Senior Day starting at 9 a.m. Admission is free of charge.
