LAS VEGAS - UNLV men's basketball seniors Wink Adams and René Rougeau have been selected as members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Division I All-District Teams, which were announced by the NABC this week.

Adams was honored by being named to the All-District 17 First Team along with Utah's Luke Nevill, BYU's Lee Cummard, and Kyle Spain and Lorrenzo Wade, both from San Diego State.

Adams, a 6-foot guard from Houston, Texas, was a second-team selection last season and leads UNLV this season in scoring with 14.3 points per game. He is second on the team in steals with 1.4 per game and third in assists with 2.9 per game. Adams has scored in double figures in 22 games this season and he ranks seventh all-time in Runnin' Rebel career scoring with 1,832 points.

Rougeau was named to the second team along with Wyoming's Brandon Ewing, New Mexico's Tony Danridge and Daniel Faris, and TCU's Kevin Langford. A 6-6 senior guard from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Rougeau leads the Runnin' Rebels in rebounding with 6.8 rpg, blocks with 1.9 per game, steals with 1.5 per game and field-goal percentage at 56.4 percent. He is second in the Mountain West Conference in blocks, is tied for second in steals, third in field-goal percentage and fifth in rebounding.

The NABC Division I All-District Teams recognize the nation's best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and are selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC. The 240 student-athletes from the 24 districts, which were realigned this season, are now eligible for the State Farm Coaches' Division I All-America teams, which will be announced on Saturday, April 4, at Hoop City in the COBO Center at 10 a.m. as part of the 2009 NABC Convention in Detroit.

UNLV, which is 21-8 overall this season, will play its regular-season finale at San Diego State on Saturday, March 7 at 7 p.m.
