Kerrigan Again

April 1, 2009

LAS VEGAS - Complete MWC 10th Anniversary Softball Team

Former UNLV hurler Jacque Kerrigan (2002-05) was one of 11 players named to the Mountain West Conference's 10th Anniversary Softball Team, the league announced today.

The team was selected by a combined panel of media, institutional and conference personnel and an online fan poll. In order to be eligible for consideration, candidates must have been a first team All-MWC selection at least once in their careers.

Kerrigan ended her four-year run as one of the best pitchers in Rebel history. She was a two-time All-MWC honoree and took home the league's pitcher of the year award in 2005, en route to NFCA All-West Region status and guiding the Rebels to their first NCAA Tournament in nine years.

In all, Kerrigan's name is scribbled in nearly every career and single-season pitching category in the UNLV record book. Most notably, she sits first in career appearances (169), starts (134) and saves (11). She ranks second in wins (73), complete games (88), innings (860.1) and strikeouts (670).
