Leading Off: The UNLV Rebels return to the friendly confines of Eller Media Stadium this weekend (April 4-5), when they open up Mountain West Conference play vs. the San Diego State Aztecs.

UNLV, who last hosted a home contest on March 8 vs. Notre Dame, has spent the past three weeks away from its home stadium. The Rebels were in California back-to-back weekends (March 13-15 and 20-21) and then had a much needed break from action last weekend.

On Deck: The UNLV Rebels have five games scheduled for next week (April 6-12), as they will play a non-conference doubleheader at Arizona State (April 7) before hosting New Mexico (April 10) and Colorado State (April 11-12) over the weekend.

The UNLV softball team (21-8) made an appearance in this week's USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll (March 17).

Take Notice: The UNLV Rebels, who had not received any votes prior to week seven, has accumulated votes in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll each of the past three weeks

The Rebels sat 28th in the week seven and week eight polls, but have since slipped to 31st in this week's listing.

Let's Go Streaking: The UNLV Rebels took with them a nine-game winning streak into the Capital Classic (March 20-21) two weekends ago and extended it to 10 with an 18-0, five inning shellacking of Dartmouth (March 20). Unfortunately, the 10-game streak was snapped with a loss to then-#10/07 California later that afternoon.

The 10-game winning streak is now the second longest such run in UNLV Softball program history and is only topped by a 15-game stretch rattled off by the 1995 Women's College World Series squad.

Just Once: The UNLV Rebels tied the best 17-game stretch in program history with a 16-1 mark thanks to a victory over Dartmouth (March 20). The 1995 Women's College World Series team owned the record for 14 years prior to 2009's matching.

Just Twice: The UNLV Rebels tied the best 19-game stretch in program history with a 17-2 mark after their three games in the Capital Classic (March 20-21). The 1995 Women's College World Series team solely owned the record for 14 years prior to 2009's matching.

The best 20-game run is shockingly owned by the 1995 squad, as they rattled off an 18-2 mark prior to succumbing to #1 Arizona in the team's final game on March 28 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
