SALT LAKE CITY - The UNLV Rebels softball game, which was originally scheduled to take place at Ute Softball Field, has been moved to Salt Lake Community College's softball field (4600 South Redwood Road). The change was necessary due to the inclement weather that has hit the region the past few days and made Utah's home field unplayable.

The Rebel-Ute affair is still planned to be broadcast live by CBS College Sports at 4:00 pm. The contest can be seen in Las Vegas on Cox Digital Cable Ch. 333 and on DirecTV Ch. 613.

This is the second consecutive time that weather has been a factor in UNLV's outing to the Ute Softball Field. In 2008, the two teams had to have their doubleheader moved south down I-15 to Utah Valley University's campus. Unfortunately, heavy snow fall plagued those games, as well, although they were played to fruition.
