Week Thirteen Release in PDF Format 
Leading Off: After playing seven games on the road the past two weekends, the UNLV Rebels return to the friendly confines of Eller Media Stadium for their final home stand of 2009. The Rebels will play three games this weekend with Saturday's contest billed as "Senior Day".
UNLV's competition this weekend comes from the state of Utah. The BYU Cougars will come to town for a 5:00 pm Thursday, April 30 affair, while the Utah Utes follow for games on Friday (6:00 pm) and Saturday (1:00 pm).
On Deck: The UNLV Rebels will close down the 2009 regular season and MWC slate with a contest at San Diego State on Saturday, May 9 (1:00 pm).
Holland Takes It: The UNLV Rebels' Ashli Holland was named the Mountain West Conference's Player of the Week on Tuesday (April 28) for her on-field performance last weekend.
Holland helped UNLV notch a perfect 4-0 record over the weekend. The sophomore hit .615 with a team-leading eight hits, five of which went for extra bases and attributed to her 1.154 slugging percentage. She racked up four multiple-hit games and had two or more RBI in two of the contests. She knocked in seven RBI and scored five runs, as well. Defensively, she owned a perfect field percentage in 19 chances.
Where They Stand: The UNLV Rebels sit 38th in the latest edition of the NFCA's Simulated Ratings Percentage Index. (FullySports.com) The RPI is a mathematical calculation used to determine a team's success, using a calculated strength of schedule and won-loss percentage.
Currently, UNLV owns a 4-8 mark against team's rated within the top 50. They defeated Cal Poly (RPI #23), Georgia Tech (#25), Notre Dame (#32) and Long Beach State (#37).
Six of the eight losses came to squads ranked in both of the two major Top 25 polls. Four came against teams with RPIs in the 1-10 range.
The Rebels own a 25-9 mark when it comes to playing squads in the 51 and up range.
When it comes to Mountain West Conference foes, UNLV is the highest rated of the six teams. San Diego State comes in second at #51. BYU is third with a #53 showing.
