LAS VEGAS - The Mountain West Conference announced today the 2009 softball broadcast schedule that features three nationally-televised games, one of which will showcase the UNLV Rebels. In all, UNLV will have two games aired, with both coming during the Utah-BYU road trip (April 16-18).

The Rebels will have its April 16 contest in Salt Lake City against the Utah Utes shown live at 3:00 pm PT on CBS College Sports Network (CBS C).

On April 18, UNLV's game in Provo against the BYU Cougars will air live at 1:00 pm PT on BYU-TV. The Mtn. (The MountainWest Sports Network) will re-air the contest the following day (April 19) at 2:00 pm PT.

Now in its third year, The Mtn. was the first 24-hour sports network devoted exclusively to a single conference. The Mtn. will not only broadcast live softball games, but will air pre-game and post-game shows for those contests. The Mountain View - Diamond Edition, a weekly show which will air each Thursday night beginning on April 9, will premiere this season. The show will break down MWC games, look ahead to the key match-ups on the horizon and feature extensive game highlights and campus cam interviews with selected coaches and student-athletes.
