LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis program will host a Campus Kids' Day this Friday (April 9) for its Mountain West Conference match vs. New Mexico at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on campus.
The match begins at 2 p.m. and all kids and their parents are invited to attend free of charge with complimentary slices of pizza and beverages being served -- while supplies last -- between the doubles and singles sessions (approximately 3 p.m.).
Sponsored by the United States Tennis Association, the Campus Kids' Day program is being offered at more than 100 men's and women's matches across the nation this season and designed to expose more junior players (along with their parents and coaches) to college tennis.
"This is a great promotion and we hope have a lot of kids there Friday to enjoy some college tennis," said head coach Owen Hambrook. "It will be a good way for UNLV and the USTA to promote the sport in our community."
