SEATTLE (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV earned its second conference road win of the season on Sunday thanks to a 3-2 victory at Seattle in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's soccer action on Sunday afternoon at Championship Field.

The Rebels (3-11, 2-5 MPSF) wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, as freshman Salvador Bernal scored his team-high sixth goal of the year just 78 seconds into the contest. Robert Garcia and Jonny Espinoza assisted on the score, giving UNLV a 1-0 edge in the second minute. The Redhawks (2-10-2, 1-6 MPSF) answered in the 31st minute with a header by Brandon Hamer, tying the score at 1-1. UNLV would then counter with another score in the 40th minute, thanks to Nick Marshall's third goal on the last three games. This time Marshall collected a loose ball from the goalie and finished off a shot for a 2-1 Rebel edge, a lead they would take into halftime.

UNLV opened the second half just like it did the first, with a very quick goal. This one was 61 seconds into the second half, as Zach Kupfer scored off a free kick for his first goal of the season in the 47th minute, putting the Rebels up 3-1. Seattle would add another score, off a shot by Elliot Richards in the 63rd minute, but could not come up with a tying goal, giving UNLV the road victory.

The Rebels finished the afternoon with a 19-15 edge on shots, while shots on goal were tied at eight apiece. UNLV also had 10 corner kicks on the day to four for SU. Ryan Harding made six saves in goal for the Rebels, and Jake Feener finished with five as the Redhawks' keeper.

UNLV returns to action on Friday with a 7 pm contest against San Jose State, part of a double-header with the UNLV women who play at 4:30 pm.
