Rebels Win 1-0 At Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) - Sophomore midfielder Jose Mendoza scored his first goal of the season in the 12th minute Friday night to give the UNLV men's soccer team (2-7, 1-1 MPSF) a 1-0 victory over Air Force (6-3-1, 0-1-1 MPSF) at Cadet Soccer Stadium.

Mendoza's unassisted goal was from 25 yards out from the top right after a clear.

UNLV and Air Force each had 15 shots, with Air Force recording seven on goal to UNLV's four. Rebel sophomore Ryan Harding had seven saves in goal, while Air Force's goalkeeper Matt Underwood had three. Air Force had five corners to UNLV's two.

The Rebels will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 9, at Denver.
