ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (UNLVRebels.com) - New Mexico scored the lone goal of the game in the 11th minute, as the Lobos (7-4-3, 1-0-1 MW) handed the UNLV women's soccer team (5-8-2, 1-1 MW) a 1-0 loss on Saturday afternoon in Mountain West action at the UNM Soccer Complex.

Jennifer Williams scored the goal for New Mexico, as she received a pass from Natalie Jenks on the left side, and sent a shot across the goal to the right corner for the score. UNM then relied on its defense, as UNLV was held to just three shots total for the game, while UNM attempted 14. The Lobos also held a 5-2 edge on shots on goal.

Courtney Botelho and Macy Jo Harrison each finished with one shot on goal each for UNLV. Kylie Wassell was credited with four saves for the Rebels, while Kelli Cornell made two for UNM to earn the shutout.

UNLV returns to action on Friday, Oct. 14, when it hosts Boise State at 7 pm.
