PROVO, Utah (UNLVRebels.com) - Saturday's softball game between the UNLV Rebels and the BYU Cougars in Provo, Utah was canceled due to unplayable field conditions and will not be rescheduled. After flurries fell throughout Friday's contest, a heavier dose of snow hit the Wasatch Front early Saturday morning.

The Rebels have had a total of eight games, all on the road, canceled this season due to a combination of inclement weather and field conditions. Fortunately, UNLV's five remaining regular-season contests are slated to take place at home in Las Vegas.

UNLV returns to action next weekend, May 7-8, when the San Diego State Aztecs come to Las Vegas for a two-game set. The first game will take place on Saturday, May 7, at 1:00 pm PT.
