Rebels Settle For 0-0 Tie With Detroit

RENO, Nev. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's soccer team finished the afternoon with a total of 16 shots but had to settle for an overtime tie as the Rebels (1-3-1) played Detroit (4-1-1) to a 0-0 score in the first game of the Wolf Pack Invitational on Friday afternoon at Mackay Stadium.

UNLV outshot the Titans by four, and held an 8-3 edge on shots on goal. Three players had two shots each on goal for the Rebels, Courtney Botehlo, Adrianna Guida and Macy Jo Harrison. Kylie Wassell finished with two saves in goal to earn the shutout, her second of the year. UNLV has also allowed just three goals total thus far this season as a team. For Detroit, Emily Oberheim was credited with eight saves and a shutout.

UNLV will close out action in the Wolf Pack Invitational by taking on the host Nevada, Reno squad on Sunday at 2 pm.
