On The Road Again

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -

The UNLV men's soccer team plays the second pair of four straight road games to open the season this weekend with contests at Loyola Marymount on Friday and at Cal State Fullerton on Sunday. Friday's game at LMU will start at 3 pm, with live audio of the match available at www.lmulions.com. Sunday's game against the Titans will have a 5 pm start.

All About The Rebels
UNLV has all 11 starters from last year on this year's roster, which is highlighted by sophomore forward Salvador Bernarl, 2011 MPSF Newcomer of the Year and First-Team All-MPSF. Junior Joe Vitale meanwhile has played the first two games of the season in the net for the Rebels. The Rebels are looking to bounce back after dropping a pair of one-goal contests, including a 2-1 setback at No. 18 St. Mary's on Aug. 26.

Scouting Loyola Marymount
The Lions lost a close match to No. 4 UC Santa Barbara in their season opener on Sunday. LMU is a young team, with 14 freshman and 14 sophomores on its 31-member roster.

Scouting Cal State Fullerton
The Titans are looking for their first goal of the 2012 season after being shutout in their first two games, a 1-0 loss to American and a 4-0 loss to Portland, both of which were at Titan Stadium.

Next Time Out
UNLV will play at home for the first time this season, hosting Cal State Northridge on Friday, Sept. 7 at 1 pm, and UC Riverside on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 4:30 pm.
