NAPA, Calif. - Members of the UNLV men's tennis team split six total matches during Saturday's second day of the Napa Valley Collegiate Invitational being played at the Silverado Resort.
The Rebels faced players from Arizona in four singles matches and won two of them. Tamas Batyi downed Kieren Thompson 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 and Denys Pume swept Naoki Takeda 6-1, 6-4.
UNLV also split its two doubles matches vs. Oklahoma State. Denys Pume and Jeff Vongman outlasted Trevor Horstmann and Nathan Roper 8-7.
The event runs concludes Sunday.
