The senior has now advanced to tomorrow's opening round of the main draw in singles at the 2014 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's Tennis All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Pume, who led the Rebels in wins last year with a record of 27-10, downed Francisco Dias of George Washington, 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (3) on Wednesday in the final round of qualifying.
"Denys came through again in a long, three-set battle," said UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook. "There were multiple shifts in momentum but he played great in the end to get the victory."
Pume will face 31st-ranked Lloyd Glasspool of Texas on Thursday morning. Main draw action runs through Sunday.
