Dec. 16, 2014 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -

Lady Rebels back home for first time in 3 weeks...
UNLV will play its first home game since Nov. 30, and hope the familiar surroundings provide a boost as it will take on undefeated Northwestern on Wednesday at 4 pm in the Thomas & Mack Center. The first 150 fans will receive free Lady Rebel wristbands, while kids 12 and under are free.
The only other game the Lady Rebels have played in the TMC this year was their season-opener, a 12-point victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The home game comes after UNLV completed a three-game swing through the state of Utah, which resulted in three straight losses at the hands of BYU, Utah and Southern Utah. This will also be the last home game of the non-conference schedule, as the next time the Lady Rebs play in Las Vegas it will be against Wyoming in the Mountain West opener for both teams on New Year's Eve.
Wednesday's game is a return game from a year ago, as the Lady Rebels nearly pulled off a win on the Wildcats' home court before Northwestern rallied in the last two minutes to steal the win. Northwestern is receiving votes in both polls this week thanks to its undefeated start.
Two players to watch on Wednesday are senior Alana Cesarz and Danielle Miller, both of who are within reach of hitting 1,000 career points against the Wildcats.
