Lady Rebels take on Aztecs in home contest...
Two teams will identical records face off on Saturday in the Cox Pavilion at 2 pm. Both UNLV and San Diego State bring in 5-10 overall marks, and both are also 2-2 in league play. One of the two league wins for the teams are also the same, a three-point home win over Wyoming. The Lady Rebels' other win in league play is at San Jose State in overtime, while the Aztecs won at last place Air Force.
Saturday's game will have a live radio broadcast on KSHP 1400 AM, provided by Adam Candee and Jesse Vineyard. There will be a live video stream as well on the Mountain West Network, carried on UNLVRebels.com with Tyler Bischoff and Jamie Smith on the call.
One game after seeing Boise State hit 12 three-pointers in a home loss on Wednesday, the Lady Rebels could see an easy time guarding outside shooting on Saturday. The Aztecs rank last in both three-point percentage (23.6%) and three-pointers per game (2.3). SDSU usually makes up for that with their post play, but that also plays into one of UNLV's strengths.
Following Saturday's game, the Lady Rebels will be on the road for a pair of games, starting a stretch of three road games in two weeks, with the lone home game against Nevada, Reno on Jan. 28.
