Rebels Tied For 10th After Tavistock's First Round

ORLANDO, Fla. (UNLVRebels.com) -
The UNLV men's golf team shot an opening-round 10-over-par 298 on Sunday and is tied for 10th place after the first round of play at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, which is being played at Isleworth Country Club (par 72, 7,544).

California leads the field at 9-under 279, followed by South Carolina at 4-under. Arizona State is third at 3-under, followed by Illinois at 2-under and North Carolina rounds out the top five at 1-under. 15 teams are competing.

Individually, California's Collin Morikawa leads by a shot at 5-under 67. Illinois' Dylan Meyer and Arizona State's Max Rottluff are tied for second at 4-under and there is a two-way tie for fourth at 3-under.

UNLV was led by sophomore John Oda, who is tied for 6th at 2-under. Junior Redford Bobbitt is tied for 46th at 3-over, senior AJ McInerney is tied for 49th at 4-over, freshman Harry Hall is tied for 57th at 5-over and sophomore Shintaro Ban is tied for 64th at 6-over. A total of 75 individuals make up the field.
