NCAA West Regional Informational Site

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV cross country team will participate at the NCAA West Regional, which will be hosted by the University of Washington at the Jefferson Park Golf Course in Seattle. The women's 6K will get the action started with a 12:00 pm start, while the men's 10K will commence one hour later.

Seattle is one of nine sites that will host a regional Friday. The top two men's and women's teams at each site will automatically advance to the NCAA Championships in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 21. The next 13 "at-large" qualifying teams for the national meet will be determined by a process that includes order of finish at a regional. After the teams have been selected, 38 additional individuals per gender will be chosen to compete in the Bluegrass State.

Auzsane Crowe-Carter, Rebecca Hobby, Spencer Moore, Sara Williams and Nikki Regalado will represent the Scarlet & Gray in the 6K.

Just last month, Williams, Crowe-Carter, Hobby and Moore ran four of the best 6K times in the program's history at Santa Clara's Bronco Invitational. One year earlier at the same meet, Regalado put forth her best effort in the 6K, as well.
