Oda Finishes 10th At All-America Event

EL PASO, Texas (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV sophomore John Oda shot a final-round 2-over 73 on Sunday to finish in 10th place at the 2015 Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic, which was played at El Paso Country Club (par 71, 6,889 yards).

Oda, who held the tournament's lead after the first round, turned in a 54-hole total of 2-over 215.

Vanderbilt's Zack Jaworski claimed medalist honors by two shots at 6-under 207. He shot a final-round-low 4-under 67. There was a three-way tie for second at 4-under between Vanderbilt's Matthias Schwab, South Florida's Claudio Correa and LSU's Zach Wright.

The tournament, which is one of the premier college golf events in the country, annually features some of golf's brightest stars.

Oda was named honorable mention All-America following his freshman year.
