Dec. 9, 2015 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - A pair of UNLV men's soccer players were named to NSCAA All-West Region, the national organization announced on Wednesday. Sophomore Danny Musovski was a first-team selection while Bradley Kamdem was placed on the second-team, and its the first regional honors for both players.
Musovski, a forward and native of Henderson (Liberty HS), was named the 2015 WAC Offensive Player of the Year, after also being selected at the league's Preseason Player of the Year. His 14 goals, the most by a Rebel since 1990 and tied for ninth-best in a season, rank him sixth in the nation. He also paces the WAC in the regular season total points with 34, which is currently tied for fourth-highest in the nation, as well as the eighth-best mark in a UNLV season. Musovski notched seven game-winning goals this season, tied for second-highest mark in the nation, with five of them coming in one-goal victories, three in the final five minutes of the contest. He also received WAC Player of the Week honors in the final week of the regular season after a multi-goal game clinched the Rebels' spot in the league tournament.
Kamdem, a defender from Paris, France, was a big key to the Rebel defensive effort that posted five team shutouts and a 1.19 GAA. A first-team All-WAC selection, he made an impact offensively with a pair of goals and three assists and was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 14.
UNLV finished the season with a 12-7-1 mark and reached the semifinals of the WAC Tournament before falling to Utah Valley, an eventual NCAA At-Large squad.
