LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team won for the sixth time in its last eight matches, 5-2 over Northern Arizona, on a pleasant Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels improved to 6-4 overall while the Lumberjacks fell to 2-8.

UNLV started things by taking both completed doubles matches for a 1-0 lead. Ace Matias and Adam Gage-Brown downed Kester Black and Adi Zilverstein 6-3 at the top spot while Denys Pume and Alexandr Cozbinov defeated Jordan Gobatie and Tomas Hons 6-2 on court three.

Moving to singles, Jakob Amilon quickly got by Black 6-2, 6-0 at the third position and Matias swept Gobatie 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1. The Rebels clinched it when Ozzy Abraham finished off Jackson Lee 6-4, 6-3 on court six and then Pume made it 5-0 for the hosts with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Eden Peleg at No. 2.

Next up, the Rebels will host Hawai'i on Tuesday beginning with doubles play at 2 p.m. Admission is free of charge.
