Runnin' Rebels' Mountain West Schedule Announced

June 24, 2015

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 2015-16 UNLV men's basketball Mountain West schedule was announced Wednesday by the conference.

The schedule format for the 11-member league includes eight home-and-home series and two one-time games. Each institution will play nine home contests and make nine road trips during the conference portion of the season. This is the third year that the MW has utilized the 18-game format since expanding to its current membership in 2013-14.

This release represents the first phase in the 2015-16 MW men's basketball schedule process. League national television partners CBS Sports Network and ESPN will initiate a selection procedure, which will include the shifting of some Wednesday games to Tuesday, and some Saturday games to Sunday.

The national TV selections should be complete by the middle of August. Regional partner ROOT SPORTS and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will begin their picks after the national television lineup has been announced.

The MW schedule begins this year on Wednesday, Dec. 30 and will be played over 10 weeks with the final regular-season contests occurring on Saturday, March 5. UNLV will not play Utah State at home this season and will not travel to San José State. The Runnin' Rebels' conference bye dates are Saturday, Jan. 2 and Wednesday, March 2.

UNLV's 2015-16 non-conference schedule will be announced soon when all contracts have been finalized.
