Sept. 14, 2015 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Senior Bradley Kamdem was named the WAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after helping UNLV to a 2-0 record this past weekend. Kamdem is the first Rebel to earn a weekly honor this season, and its the first weekly honor of his carer as well.
A native of Paris, France, Kamdem was a key member of the Rebel backline that allowed just one goal total in wins over Mercer (2-0) and Bradley (4-1) on the way to the Holiday Inn Express Invitational tournament title. He made just as big an impact on offense, scoring a goal in each game to give him two for the weekend, matching his previous career total. The first score game against Mercer, off a free kick from 20-yards out in the 87th minute to give UNLV a comfortable 2-0 edge. He closed out the the win over Bradley with a length-of-the-field run and shot from just inside the box that found the back of the net in the 90th minute.
The Rebels, 4-2 on the year and riding a four-game win streak, return to action on Sunday with a 6 pm contest at San Diego State.
