LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Led by sophomore guard Kris Clyburn's double-double and game highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds, the UNLV men's basketball team defeated Dakota Wesleyan in an exhibition game at the Thomas & Mack Center on Tuesday night.
Clyburn was 11 of 14 from the field and added five steals, three blocked shots and assist in 34 minutes of action.
Five other Runnin' Rebels scored in double figures: sophomore guard Jalen Poyser (15), senior forward Tyrell Green (14), senior forward Christian Jones (14), senior guard Uche Ofoegbu (10) and junior guard Jovan Mooring (10).
As a team, UNLV shot 52.1 percent from the field and held DWU to just 20.6 percent from 3-point range. The Tigers had five plyaers in double figures in points and were led by Trae Vandeberg's 18.
The Runnin' Rebels will host their second and final exhibition game of the season on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. vs. New Mexico Highlands.
