UNLV's Game Notes vs. Northern Arizona (PDF)

The UNLV men's basketball team (2-1) will be looking for its third straight win on Tuesday, Nov. 22, as it hosts Northern Arizona at 7 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. The game is part of the Global Sports Classic's Preliminary Rounds.

The Runnin' Rebels won their second straight game on Saturday night over Cal State Fullerton (77-68) giving head coach Marvin Menzies his 200th career win. Sophomore guard Jalen Poyser led five Runnin' Rebel players in double-figure scoring with 14 points. UNLV shot 81.3 percent from the free-throw line and forced the Titans into 17 turnovers.

Poyser leads the team in scoring average over the first three games at 17.0 ppg, followed by senior forward Christian Jones (14.0 ppg) and sophomore guard Kris Clyburn (10.0 ppg). Jones leads the team in rebounding (7.0 rpg) and shooting percentage (.643).

Northern Arizona (1-4) is led by senior guard Jaleni Neely's 14.0 ppg. The Lumberjacks are coming off a 92-58 loss at Washington on Sunday. Freshman forward Felix Rivera-Vega led NAU in scoring against the Huskies with 11 points, while junior forward/center Ako Kaluna added 10.
