UNLV Looks For The Upset Saturday At CSU...
The Lady Rebels are out to both earn a split of their road trip this week as well as a split of the season series with Colorado State as they face the Rams on Saturday afternoon in Moby Arena. It's a tough challenge awaiting the UNLV squad, as CSU is a perfect 11-0 at home this year and is currently riding an 18-game win streak. A win over the Lady Rebels would tie for hte longest win streak in Ram history. UNLV meanwhile has lost six straight games in Fort Collins, with the last victory on Feb. 6, 2008 by a score of 76-68.
The Rams come in with a two-game lead in the conference standings over Fresno State and three over Boise State. UNLV meanwhile dropped to a tie for fifth place with Utah State at 6-6 following Wednesday's road setback at San Jose State, who has now moved up unto fourth place. UNLV and USU are half a game ahead of New Mexico, and two full games ahead of eighth place Wyoming.
Though CSU won the first contest 64-56 in Las Vegas, UNLV was without starting center Aley Rohde after she was hurt in the pregame shootaround. Rohde is expected to start Saturday.
