BOISE, ID (UNLVRebels.com) - The undefeated UNLV women's tennis team rallied for a second time over the weekend to spoil Boise State's conference debut, 6-1, on Sunday at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center in Idaho.

While the Lady Rebels improved to 15-0, the Broncos fell to 4-7.

Boise State began the day by taking two of three doubles matches to forge a 1-0 lead. UNLV was put in the position to bounce back in singles competition and it did just that.

Moving into singles, the lady netters' won all six matches, including one decided by a tiebreaker.

Iren Kotseva kicked things off for the Rebels at the end of the lineup, sweeping Nancy Menjivar 6-3, 6-0 to tie the match. All eyes moved to court four where Anna Bogoslavets downed Milena Toseva 6-4, 6-4 to give the Rebels the lead. Aiwen Zhu scored another match point after beating Teal Vosburgh 6-2, 6-1. Paola Artiga extended the lead after defeating Bobbi Oshiro 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3. The lead kept growing for the Rebels after Cristina Moroi upended Megan LaLone, 6-1, 7-5 at No. 5. Carol Zi Yang, ranked 63rd, went the distance against Hanna Kantenwein, winning the tiebreaker 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 on court one.

"It was a challenge playing indoors this weekend against two tough teams," Head coach Kevin Cory said. "The girls showed some grit in singles after losing the doubles point each day and we are happy to survive the road trip."

UNLV will return to the Fertitta Tennis Complex to serve up dual-matches against Oklahoma on Wednesday and Montana on Friday. Doubles will begin on both days at 10:30 a.m. PT. and admission is free of charge.
