CANBY, Ore. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's golf team won the team title on Tuesday at the Airstream Adventures Northwest Classic, which was played at Willamette Valley Country Club (par 72, 6,925 yards) just outside of Portland.

It marked the Rebels' second team victory of the season.

UNLV captured the tournament by eight shots at 22-under 842 after a final-round-low 8-under 280. Oregon finished second at 14-under, followed by St. Mary's at 2-over. East Tennessee State was fourth at 3-over, while Seattle rounded out the top five at 6-over. There were a total of 15 teams that competed.

UNLV had all five players finish in the top 10 individually, but Oregon had the top three performers. Sulman Raza earned medalist honors at 10-under 206 after a final-round 4-under 68, while Nigel Lett finished second at 6-under and Aaron Wise tied for third at 5-under.

UNLV senior AJ McInerney was also tied for third, while sophomores John Oda and Shintaro Ban both tied for sixth at 4-under, senior Zane Thomas tied for eighth at 3-under and freshman Harry Hall finished 10th at 2-under. McInerney shot 3-under during the final round, while Oda was even, Ban and Thomas were both 2-under and Hall was 1-under.

Rebel sophomore Ben Davis, who competed as an individual, tied for 22nd at 3-over after a final-round 1-under. There was a total of 87 players that competed.

UNLV will be back in action at The Goodwin in Palo Alto, Calif., Thursday-Saturday, March 24-26.
