UNLV Hosting Men's Tennis MW Championship This Weekend

April 26, 2016

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV is set to host the Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Championship for the third time in history this weekend at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on campus.

The eight-team, single-elimination event starts Friday morning with the first of four quarterfinal matches at 9 a.m. Semifinals will be at 3 and 6 p.m. on Saturday and the final is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are available at the main entrance of the facility for $5 per day ($3 for students with a valid ID from a MW member institution and for kids 3-12 years old -- 2-and-under are free) or $15 for an all-session pass.

All matches will be broadcast live and for free online via the Mountain West Network.

The bracket will be released Wednesday evening after the conclusion of a pair of makeup matches being played in Las Vegas. The Rebel men's team, which finished 5-2 in MW play, will learn its seeding and opponent then, but does know it will play at 6 p.m. Friday in the host position.

UNLV previously hosted the 2002 men's tournament and then again in 2010 when the men's and women's tournaments were combined.
