LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 25 UNLV men's golf team will return to action this weekend as it competes at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate at the UNM Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
The two-day, 54-hole stroke-play tournament hosted by New Mexico, will have two rounds (36 holes) on Friday, Sept. 23, and will conclude with a final round of 18 holes on Saturday, Sept. 24. Play is set to begin both days at 7:30 a.m. MT.
Competing for the Rebels will be juniors John Oda and Shintaro Ban, sophomore Harry Hall and junior Ben Davis. Freshmen Yash Majmudar and Justin Kim will also be competing, but it has not yet been decided which one will play for the team and which will compete as an individual.
This will be the third tournament of the season for the Rebels. They opened the season with a team victory at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo., then finished sixth at the tough Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational last weekend. That tournament featured 12 of the nation's top 32 teams.
The Tucker Intercollegiate will have a field of 16 teams: Arizona, BYU, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, Pepperdine, San Diego, San Diego State, UTEP, UNLV, Washington, Washington State and Wyoming.

New Mexico is the four-time defending Tucker team champion as the Lobos recorded a 19-shot victory (24-under) at the 2015 event. UNLV finished in a tie for third last year as its top returning finisher at the event was Oda, who tied for 11th at 2-under.
