LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -
After a week off, the UNLV men's basketball team will be back in action in a rare Sunday matinee game at San Diego State on Feb. 19. The 1 p.m. game will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

UNLV has lost six straight games, but a majority of them have come down to the last possession as four of those have been decided by a combined 10 points. The Runnin' Rebels' most recent setback was a 76-74 decision at home to San José State. In another schedule rarity, UNLV's game this Sunday will be its first in eight days.

UNLV and San Diego State have met once already this season, a game the Aztecs won 64-51 in Las Vegas on Jan. 17. Four Runnin' Rebel players scored in double figures in that game, led by sophomore guard Jalen Poyser's 11 points.

UNLV is led in scoring by senior forward Tyrell Green (12.2 ppg), junior guard Jovan Mooring (12.0 ppg), Poyser (11.4 ppg) and senior forward Christian Jones (10.4 ppg). Jones (6.7 rpg), Green (5.3 rpg) and sophomore guard Kris Clyburn (5.3 rpg) are the team's leading rebounders, while Mooring (4.0 apg) and Poyser (2.8 apg) lead in assists. Mooring is second in the Mountain West in assists and leads in conference-only games (5.0 apg). Junior forward Dwayne Morgan was leading the team in rebounding (7.3 rpg), but has missed the last 17 games because of injury. It was announced on Jan. 19 that he will miss the rest of the season.

San Diego State started MW play 0-3, but has gone 7-3 since. The Aztecs have won two straight since losing at San José State: a 70-56 home win over Nevada, Reno, and a 66-62 win at Utah State on Wednesday. SDSU is 8-3 on its homem floor this season. The Aztecs are led in scoring by junior guard Trey Kell (14.4 ppg) and sophomore guard Jeremy Hemsley (14.1 ppg). Sophomore forward Zylan Cheatham is third in scoring (9.6 ppg) and leads the team in rebounding (6.3 rpg). Kell is the team's assist leader (2.8).

Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas and Jenny Dell (sideline) are the TV announcers. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/100.9 FM and online (link at UNLVRebels.com).
