UNLV MEN'S SOCCER

UNLV men's soccer suffered its fourth 1-0 loss of the season Friday night, as the Rebels' (2-6) slow start on offense came back to bite them in in the road loss at CSU Fullerton (5-3-1) at Titan Stadium.

THE TURNING POINT: A foul was called on the Rebels in the 30th minute, giving the Titans a free kick from 35 yards out. Mark Hernandez took the kick that was punched out by Rebel goalkeeper Enrique Adame. Ross McPhie was in the right place in the box for CSU Fullerton, as he jumped up and quickly redirected the ball back into the night for the header score in the 31st minute.

STAT OF THE GAME: The Titans took 10 of the first 11 shots of the game over the opening 54 minutes. The Rebels would finish with just three total shots on goal, and seven overall for the night.

QUOTABLE: I thought we came back in the second half and played very well. We got some chances on goal and could feel we were pressuring their backs. Unfortunately we ran out of time. The goal we gave up, their guy hit a great shot and we just have to track our runners better on the rebound. Now we're looking forward to playing at home Sunday against Oral Roberts and getting it right before conference play starts."
- UNLV Head Coach Rich Ryerson

REBEL NOTES:
* Friday was the fourth 1-0 loss of the season for the Rebels, setting a new school record. UNLV had previously suffered three 1-0 setbacks in a year in three different seasons.
* Another program first was set on Friday night, as the Rebels featured two separate sets of brothers in their starting 11. Long-time fixtures in the Rebel starting lineup Danny Musovski and Kevin Partida were joined by their younger brothers, Adam Musovski (a two-year starter) and freshman Jesus Partida, making his second career start.

NEXT FOR THE REBELS: UNLV closes out the non-conference schedule with a Sunday morning contest at home against Oral Roberts, kicking off at 11 am from Peter Johann Memorial Field. There is a special 2-for-1 ticket promotion available for all online and in-advance purchases, while the first 100 fans will also receive a free UNLV mini cell phone fan.

Single game ticket prices this season are $8 for adults, $6 for faculty/staff and seniors, or a special internet price of $5 is available for all tickets bought online at UNLVTickets.com, good up to three hours before game time. Kids 12 and under are always free at UNLV men's soccer contests. Prior to the Sunday home contest, the UNLV Soccer Foundation will hold a free tailgate party, with free food, drinks and music. Admission is free to all ticketed fans.
