Kreutz Named Outstanding Rebel Of The Week

Sept. 6, 2017
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's soccer junior Caitlyn Kreutz has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday. This is the first Outstanding Rebel of the Week award for the 2017-18 academic year.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletic Communications department.

Kreutz, from Clovis, California, led the Rebels to a 2-1 win at UC Davis last Sunday after assisting on Michaela Morris' first-half goal and scoring what was eventually the game-winner in the second half. The forward, who transferred from San Luis Obispo prior to the 2017 season, earned a starting spot immediately and has recorded two goals and one assist on the year. For her performance, Kreutz was also named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week - the third straight week a Rebel has earned the honor.

UNLV is on the road again this weekend, with its lone contest at Northern Arizona Friday night in Flagstaff, Arizona. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
