NAPA VALLEY, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - A contingent from the UNLV men's tennis team opened its fall tournament slate Friday at the College Tennis Invitational at Silverado Resort and Spa.
The Rebels split two doubles matches vs. teams from Oklahoma State, including Richard Solberg and Courtney Lock downing Mathieu Scaglia and Brady Draheim 8-5.
Facing Tulsa in singles play, UNLV's win came from Solberg, who downed Mitchell Pritchard, 6-3, 7-6.
"There were lots of positives today, but we still need to improve in some areas," said UNLV head coach Owen Habmrook. "Everyone is looking forward to more matches over the next two days."
