"Alexis is a perfect fit for our program," said Olivier. "She works hard and she's extremely organized. We are very happy to have her back."

Besinaiz returns to the Lady Rebels after serving as the head student manager for the team for four years (2011-15). She then spent two years as a Development and Academic Services intern for UCLA Athletics, while also spending a year and a half as an academic mentor in the department.

This past year, Besinaiz served as the director of operations for the CSU Bakersfield women's basketball team. For the Roadrunners, she handled numerous duties including coordinating budgets, travel, on-campus recruiting, oversight of the student managers and acting as team liaison to the other areas of the CSUB athletic department.

Since 2013, she has served as a support staff intern on nine occasions for USA Basketball, in both their Las Vegas training camps as well as in Colorado Springs. Besinaiz also traveled to Zaragoza, Spain, as the team manager for the U17 FIBA World Championships.

"I am extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to come back to my alma mater," said Besinaiz. "I owe a lot to Coach KO and the Lady Rebel family and I am honored to be a part of this institution."

Besinaiz graduated from UNLV in May of 2015 with a degree in kinesiology, and received a master's degree in sport management from Long Beach State in January of 2017.
