LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV's Alexandr Cozbinov is the first Rebel this season to be named Mountain West Men's Tennis Player of the Week the league announced.

The native of Moldova played only one singles match last week but certainly made it count as the senior stunned the nation's No. 1 ranked player, Martin Redlicki of No. 7 UCLA on his home courts in Los Angeles, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

The Rebels are hosting a pair of matches this weekend. UNLV takes on Arizona starting with doubles play at 10 a.m. on Friday and then faces Wisconsin for the first time in history on Sunday at 10 a.m. Admission to all UNLV matches at the Fertitta Tennis Complex is free of charge.
