QUOTABLE: "Love my guys, but didn't like the way they performed tonight. We have to give San Diego State and Coach Dutcher a lot of credit. They have all their guys back and you can see why they were picked No. 2 in the league in the preseason. It is just a tough game statistically for us to look through and try to make sense of it. But it is just one game. A horrible effort by us and a fantastic effort by them - doesn't make for a good combination. But, again you have to give them credit for the way they played." - UNLV head coach Marvin Menzies.
