UNLV FACES UNR IN RIVALRY BATTLE...

The UNLV Lady Rebels enter the final week of the Mountain West regular season in first place, tied with the Wyoming Cowgirls at 13-3. Both teams are on the road Tuesday night, as UNLV will play its second game against UNR in the Governor's Series, the all-sports competition between the two schools sponsored by NV Energy and Barrick Gold. The Lady Rebels won the first contest between the two, jumping out to a large lead and then holding off a fourth quarter rally for a 77-75 victory on Feb. 7.

The game, set to tip-off at 6:30 pm in Reno, Nevada, will be live streamed on the Mountain West, and there will also be a radio broadcast with the call of Adam Candee. Both will be available through UNLVRebels.com.

UNLV has won four straight and eight of its last nine games. The Wolf Pack meanwhile have lost eight of their last nine, though seven were by single digits. A win for UNLV would give it 14 conference victories, which would be the most for the Lady Rebels since going 14-4 in the Big West in the 1993-94 season.

All three of the Lady Rebel losses this season have come against teams that hit double-digits on made three-pointers, as Boise State (12), Fresno State (12) and Wyoming (14) are the other teams with a win over UNLV in league play this season.

Lady Rebels' success in the conference this season has been fueled by its outstanding post play. UNLV has outscored its past 14 opponents 488-276 on points in the paint while holding a +8.7 rebound margin for the 14 contests. The Lady Rebels are excel at finding their way to the free throw line, and are currently 11th in the nation with 437 made free throws this season.
